Kingsgrove High School has implemented a school house system. Throughout the school year points will be awarded in an academic and sporting capacity and at the end of the school year the winning house will be awarded the House Shield.
Points will be awarded at Sporting carnivals and teachers can award points to individual students for any extra curricular activity . The aim of the houses is to establish a greater sense of school spirit and school pride. All students have been placed in a school house based on their surnames.
The houses were voted and chosen by the the teachers, prefects and the Student Representative Council. The house names derive from Aboriginal street names from around our geographical surroundings of the Kingsgrove and Canterbury area.
The new Kingsgrove High School houses are:
- Arinya (Kangaroo)
- Burrimul (Emu)
- Warrigal (Dingo)
- Kardella (Possum)
