National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Our students were lucky enough to be invited to the morning tea event organised by the Aboriginal Education and Wellbeing team in partnership with the Brighton Le Sands Novotel on Thursday 30 May.
As a mark of reconciliation, local school students and partners from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds came together and were encouraged to pursue their goals and dreams through education by guest speaker and former NRL player, George Rose.
Our students celebrated with other schools in the community and were treated to special performances, NRL guest speakers and a delightful morning tea.
