KHS Food Drive

Dear Parents / Caregivers,

From Monday 15/05 till Friday 19/05 our school Student Representative Council (SRC) will be running a Food Drive. As a part of supporting Giving Back Australia and their charity program ‘Food Run’ the SRC is asking students and their families to donate items for families in our community who struggle financially to buy groceries.

Giving Back Australia is a nation-wide, not-for-profit organisation of dedicated volunteers. Their ‘Food Run’ program is a free of charge grocery delivery service providing families with much needed supplies. The aim is to provide this service to assist those families financially in our community by alleviating the financial strain and the physical burden of purchasing groceries.

Below is the list of requested items for donation

· Shampoo

· Conditioner

· Body Wash

· Hand Wash

· Toothpaste

· Toothbrush

· Toilet Paper

· Paper Towels

· Pasta

· Coffee

· Tea

· Flour

· Self-Raising Flour

· Cake Mix

· Cereals

· Packet Soup

· Noodles

· Biscuits

· Crackers

· Long Life Milk

· Long Life Juice

· Sugar

· Ghee

· Olive Oil

*Please ensure that all items have a long life expiry date, in order to prevent food wastage.

If you and your family have any of these items and are willing to donate them to local families in need then please have your child bring them in to school and drop them off at the common room during recess, available from Monday 15/05 till Friday 19/05.

Please note, if your child misses the drop off time for donation items then please ask them to take the items to Mrs. Nguyen in the English Staffroom.
