Year 12 students attended the annual University of Wollongong’s Discovery Day excursion on Monday 15 February. This event was a great way for students to experience university life firsthand, and what tertiary study is all about.
On the day our students received their own personalised university timetable and attended lectures across faculty areas that were of interest to them. This experience helped further raise the aspirations of many of our seniors and provided the motivation required for them to continue to work hard to achieve their best results.
The students also got to meet Baxter the duck - UOW Mascot .
Interesting fact : the reason why the university chose a duck was because of the many duck ponds around the campus.
