Prefect Message

Year 12 prefects

To All Parents, Carers and Students of Kingsgrove High School,

In light of recent events ascertaining to the outbreak of Coronavirus we thought it prudent to write to you all before the end of Term 1. We as the body that have been elected by the students of Kingsgrove High School realise and understand that these are trying times, and that we have all been affected by the recent measures that have been put in place to safeguard the Australian people.

It is for this very reason as to why we have decided to write this message to you all, to serve as a reminder to not forget the common goal in these trying times. Of course, we would all like to go back to our daily lives yet given the current circumstances that is impossible. We as not only students and parents or caregivers but more importantly as Australians must join together in fighting an enemy that we cannot even see. It is imperative that in these times of frustration, loneliness and fear that we follow the rules outlined to us and that we take these rules seriously so that we may return to normality as quickly as possible.

To all the students of Kingsgrove High School, we remind you that it is normal to feel uncertain and uncomfortable during these times and that the school has put in place ways that you will be able to speak to somebody over the two-week holiday. We suggest to keep healthy and sane that you do complete any assigned work within a schedule that would be similar to your normal school schedule, so that you wake up to something to do every day.

Most importantly of all we ask that you stay at home, stay safe, stay healthy and give yourself many mental breaks away from the media and from social media. We hope to see all students back at school next term.

From,

The Kingsgrove High School Prefect Body
