Gelato Day

Group of students standing in line for gelato.

On Tuesday 5 March the Student Representative Council (SRC) held a ‘Gelato Day’ fundraiser to raise money for the North Queensland Floods Appeal.

The ‘Gelato Day’ fundraiser was arranged and delivered by SRC students, with the assistance of SRC Coordinator Mr Fourfouris and several volunteer staff and students.

We are delighted to report Gelato Day was a huge success with all ice cream flavours sold out. The SRC did an amazing job serving every tub of ice cream available. They raised a tidy $360 which will be kindly donated to NQL flood victims.

The SRC promotes, encourages and facilitates student involvement within the school community in activities which may strengthen and enrich the school community. They regularly raise monies for the purpose of funding approved student activities within the SRC for the promotion of social justice or environmental issues or for the donation to charitable bodies. Kingsgrove High School is proud of the significant contribution the SRC makes to the school community.

Congratulations to Mr Fourfouris, the SRC and their supporters on the success of the fundraising event.
